Regular Season Round 15: Gent Hawks - Oxaco 86-72

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Oxaco (7-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Gent Hawks (10-5) 86-72. It was a good game for Joeri Vermoesen (200-93) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Forward Gregory De-Pooter (197-84) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Bert Van-den-Broek (201-92) answered with 19 points and power forward Arno Mollekens (198-94) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Oxaco. Oxaco's coach tested ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gent Hawks moved-up to third place, which they share with Waregem and Melsele. Oxaco at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Gent Hawks' next round opponent will be Spirou B (#8) in Charleroi which should be theoretically an easy game. Oxaco will play at home against Lommel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
