Important game to mention about took place in Nancy. Fifth ranked Sluc Nancy (9-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 7th ranked Saint Chamond (8-6) 92-89 on Saturday evening. Sluc Nancy made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Saint Chamond was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) notched 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Cameroonian forward Williams Narace (201-97) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Sluc Nancy's coach Christian Monschau allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds by American forward Paul Carter (204-87, college: UIC, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Saint Chamond. Croatian forward Jure Skific (202-88) added 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Nantes. Saint Chamond lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Sluc Nancy will play against Gries/Oberhoffen (#13) in Bischwiller in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Saint Chamond will play at home against Paris (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
