Host Rishon was defeated by Ironi Nes-Ziona in a tough game in Rishon Le-Zion 75-79. Naturalized Welsh Tal-Michael Dunne (198-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. American center Jeff Withey (213-90, college: Kansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. American guard Alex Hamilton (193-93, college: Louisiana Tech) replied with 24 points and 6 assists and his fellow American import guard Jordan Swing (198-90, college: UAB) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rishon. Ironi Nes-Ziona moved-up to fourth place, which they share with M.Haifa. Rishon at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Galil Gilboa (#9) in Rosh Pina in the next round where they are favorite. Rishon will play on the road against Hapoel Eilat (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
