Regular Season Round 15: Lommel - LDP Donza 91-79

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked LDP Donza (6-9) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Lommel (6-8) 91-79. Lommel dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to LDP Donza's 26. It was a good game for center Toon Ceyssens (205-97) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Bram Schelkens (182-98) contributed with 22 points and 5 steals for the winners. Lommel's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Rik Van-den-Berghe (206-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and Simon Gesquiere (191-96) added 12 points in the effort for LDP Donza. Lommel moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Limburg Utd B. LDP Donza lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. Lommel's next round opponent will be higher ranked Oxaco (#7) in Boechout and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LDP Donza will play at home against Melsele (#4) and hope to win that game.
