Rather expected game in Barcelona where 4th placed SESE (9-5) was defeated by first ranked Vic (13-1) 86-75 on Saturday. Vic made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Jose Ortega (192-97) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Adria Baiget (190-89) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American Charlie Wilson (203-95, college: Union, TN) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ferran Lopez (190-97) added 16 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SESE's coach Xavier Pardina tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Vic. They maintain first place in Group C-A with 13-1 record. Loser SESE dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Vic will face Martorell (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SESE will play against Arenys in Arenys del Mar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
