The game in Findon was also quite interesting. 4th placed United (11-10) played at the court of fifth ranked Adelaide 36ers (11-11). Adelaide 36ers defeated United 100-86 on Saturday. Adelaide 36ers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to United's 34. The best player for the winners was American forward Eric Griffin (203-90, college: Campbell) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ukrainian-American point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Four Adelaide 36ers players scored in double figures. The former international guard Chris Goulding (192-88) produced 26 points and American forward Shawn Long (208-93, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adelaide 36ers maintains fifth place with 11-11 record. Loser United keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Adelaide 36ers will meet higher ranked Cairns Taipans (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. United will play against New Zealand Breakers in Auckland and hope to secure a win.
