There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (6-13) defeated at home higher ranked Vitre (8-11) 74-60 on Saturday. Lourdes-Tarbes made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for forward Dylan Affo-Mama (196-99) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Alexandre Aygalenq (187-97) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach Laure Savasta used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Robert Turner (188-93, college: Texas Tech) answered with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Romain Gregoire (201-91) added 15 points in the effort for Vitre. Lourdes-Tarbes moved-up to eleventh place in Group A, which they share with Stade Rochelais and Lorient. Vitre lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Lourdes-Tarbes will face La Rochelle (#12) at home in the next round.
