Very significant was Piestanske C.'s (#2, 11-3) victory against 4th placed Samorin (4-9) 73-55. Piestanske C. made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while Samorin only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Samorin 39-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. American guard Jessica January (170-95, college: DePaul) stepped up and scored 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Canadian center Jessica Lubin (185-90, college: UQAM) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. Piestanske C. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-3 record having just one point less than leader MBK Ruzomb. Samorin at the other side keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Piestanske C. are looking forward to face Young Angels (#3) in Kosice in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Samorin will play at home against the league's leader MBK Ruzomberok and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
