There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Valmontone (8-8) beat at home 6th ranked Roma Luiss (9-7) 69-54 on Sunday. Valmontone made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Valmontone outrebounded Roma Luiss 43-29 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Daniele Bonessio (200-88) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Valmontone players scored in double figures. Swingman Antongiulio Bonaccorso (197-97) replied with 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Marco Pasqualin (178-97) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Roma Luiss. Roma Luiss' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valmontone moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with Vigevano. Loser Roma Luiss keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Valmontone will face Pozzuoli V. (#10) on the road in the next round.
