No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Niki Lefkadas (5-7) defeated on the road bottom-ranked Melissia (1-11) 85-79 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Australian point guard Vanessa Panousis (170-95, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Rangie Bessard (185-96, college: Wichita St.) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Irene Baliousi (184-0) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 22 rebounds and American point guard Shomari Harris (170-95, college: Collin CC) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Melissia players scored in double figures. Melissia's coach Margarita Malama rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Niki Lefkadas have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 5-7 record, which they share with Esperides. Melissia lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Niki Lefkadas will meet at home league's second-placed Eleutheria M. in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
