Regular Season Round 17: 2B Control TR - Eurobasket RO 72-61

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Eurobasket RO (5-12) lost to tenth ranked 2B Control TR (9-8) in Trapani 61-72 on Sunday. American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Kenny Goins (201-96, college: Michigan St.) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Eugenio Fanti (184-91) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Eurobasket RO. Eurobasket RO's coach Luciano Nunzi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. 2B Control TR moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Eurobasket RO keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. 2B Control TR will face league's second-placed Fortitudo AGR in Agrigento in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Eurobasket RO will play at home against Basket TO (#4) and hope to win that game.
