Regular Season Round 8: Bank of Taiwan - Pauian 73-71

A very close game was the one between Bank of Taiwan and Pauian. Fourth ranked Bank of Taiwan (6-7) got a very close victory over one of their biggest challengers Pauian (6-8). Bank of Taiwan managed to escape with a 2-point win 73-71 in the fight for the third place. The best player for the winners was American power forward Charles Mitchell (203-93, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) who scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import guard Matt Jones (196-94, college: Duke) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Lithuanian swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Chin-Yao Yao (187-90) added 20 points respectivelyfor Bank of Taiwan. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan moved-up to third place. Pauian lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Bank of Taiwan will meet league's leader Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pauian will play against Jutai Techn. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
