Regular Season Round 12: Wetterbygden 2 - Eskilstuna 78-86

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Eskilstuna (4-6) defeated 9th ranked Wetterbygden 2 (2-8) in Huskvarna 86-78. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Wetterbygden 2 won third quarter 20-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Eskilstuna dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Wetterbygden 2's 32. The best player for the winners was guard Henrik Aronsson (183-95) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Spanish guard Julian Lopez (187-94) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Alfred Rehn who recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Erik Juhlin (189-0) added 18 points respectively. Five Eskilstuna and four Wetterbygden 2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Eskilstuna maintains seventh position in South with 4-6 record. Wetterbygden 2 lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with eight games lost. Eskilstuna's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hogland (#4) and it may be quite challenging game.
