There was no surprise when 12th ranked Corato (6-9) lost at home to first ranked Palestrina (14-2) 87-72 on Sunday. Palestrina made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game, while Corato only scored five points from the stripe. Corato was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for forward Mattia Mastroianni (203-94) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Riccardo Bartolozzi (201-95) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Palestrina players scored in double figures. Palestrina's coach Francesco Ponticiello used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin Lazar Kekovic (205-99) replied with 21 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Mauro Stella (190-84, agency: Players Group) added 16 points and 9 assists in the effort for Corato.
