Top ranked Barsy Atyrau (14-6) recorded its sixth loss in Kostanay on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Tobol (12-5) 101-82. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Barsy Atyrau. Tobol shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Barsy Atyrau's players. The best player for the winners was international forward Anton Bykov (200-89) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. International point guard Shaim Kuanov (181-91) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Five Tobol players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard CJ Carter (185-93, college: Omaha) who recorded 30 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Ryan Cook (191-90, college: UMBC) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Tobol maintains third place with 12-5 record having five points less than leader Barsy Atyrau. Barsy Atyrau at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Tobol are looking forward to face league's second-placed Astana in Nur-Sultan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Barsy Atyrau will have a break next round.
