Rather predictable result when third ranked AZS Gorzow (10-3) rolled over 5th ranked AZS UMCS (8-5) in Gorzow Wlkp. 88-65 on Sunday. They outrebounded AZS UMCS 52-32 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. AZS Gorzow's coach Dariusz Maciejewski felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points and 8 rebounds by Lithuanian center Giedre Labuckiene (192-90) did not help to save the game for AZS UMCS. They maintain third position with 10-3 record having just three points less than leader Arka Gdynia. AZS UMCS at the other side keeps the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Sleza Wroclaw. AZS Gorzow will meet Politechnika Gdanska (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. AZS UMCS will play against CCC Polkowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
