Sixteenth-ranked Pato Basquete (2-15) gave a tough game to thirteenth ranked Brasilia (6-10) on Monday. Brasilia managed to secure only three-point victory 76-73. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pato Basquete. The best player for the winners was the former international Arthur Silva (196-82) who scored 24 points and 4 steals. The former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. Four Brasilia players scored in double figures. Guard Luis-Gustavo de-Oliveira (190-91) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and the former international point guard George-Yeye Torres (188-91) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Pato Basquete's coach Dede Barbosa tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Brasilia moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bauru. Newly promoted Pato Basquete stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Brasilia will meet league's leader Flamengo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pato Basquete will have a break next round.
