NBA
Regular Season Round 83: Golden St.W. - Dallas M. 97-124
Date: January 14, 2020
The game in Oakland supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Mavericks (25-15) played at the court of 5th ranked Warriors (9-33). Mavericks smashed Warriors 124-97 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Warriors 53-36 including 38 on the defensive glass. Mavericks looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Slovenian guard Luka Doncic (201-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian forward Dwight Powell (211-91, college: Stanford) helped adding 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). DAngelo Russell (196-96, college: Ohio St.) responded with 13 points and 8 assists and guard Jordan Poole (193-99, college: Michigan) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Mavericks maintains second place with 25-15 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Indiana P. Warriors lost their ninth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with 33 games lost. Mavericks will face Kings (#4) in Sacramento in the next day.
