Very significant was Jazz's (#2, 27-13) victory against 4th placed Nets (18-21) 118-107. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nets. The best player for the winners was French center Rudy Gobert (216-92) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. Australian Joe Ingles (203-87) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists. Jazz's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Australian-American guard Kyrie Irving (190-92, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and guard Spencer Dinwiddie (198-93, college: Colorado) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Five Jazz and four Nets players scored in double figures. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Jazz. They maintain second place with 27-13 record having just two point less than leader Milwaukee B. Loser Nets keep the fourth position with 21 games lost. Jazz will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Nets will play against 76ers (#3) in Philadelphia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
