Fifth ranked Correcaminos (3-3) saved a 1-point derby victory on the road edging 4th placed Halcones (2-3) 69-68 in the game for the third place. Center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and American point guard Scott Rodgers (191-87, college: Drexel) accounted for 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Correcaminos players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard Bradley Tumer (183-89, college: Clayton St.) came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and British forward Temidire George (193-98, college: Union, NY) added 9 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Halcones in the defeat. Correcaminos moved-up to third place. Defending champion Halcones keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Atletico Nacional.
