Not a big story in a game in Minnesota where 5th ranked Timberwolves (15-25) were defeated by second ranked Pacers (26-15) 104-99 on Wednesday. Pacers dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 54. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian-American power forward Domantas Sabonis (209-96, college: Gonzaga) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Guard Malcolm Brogdon (196-92, college: Virginia) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng (211-90, college: Louisville) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and forward Keita Bates-Diop (201-96, college: Ohio St.) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Four Pacers and five Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Pacers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 26-15 record behind leader Milwaukee B., which they share with Dallas M. Timberwolves lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 25 games lost.
