It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Lakers. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Magic made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game, while Lakers only scored seven points from the stripe. Magic players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a good game for swingman Markelle Fultz (196-98, college: Washington) who saved his team from a defeat with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Aaron Gordon (206-95, college: Arizona) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. LeBron James (203-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 assists and point guard Quinn Cook (188-93, college: Duke) added 22 points in the effort for Lakers. Five Magic and four Lakers players scored in double figures. Lakers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Magic maintains second position with 20-21 record having five points less than leader Milwaukee B. Lakers at the other side still keep top place with eight games lost. Magic will play against league's second-placed Clippers in Los Angeles in the next day and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lakers will have a break next day.
