Regular Season Round 19: Union SF - Barrio Parque 81-69

There was a small surprise in Santa Fe where third ranked Union SF (12-7) won against their close opponent Barrio Parque (9-8) 81-69 on Wednesday. Union SF looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Pablo Martinez (197-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Pablo Osores (194-86) helped adding 24 points and 10 rebounds. Union SF's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side forward Jonatan Basualdo (197-99) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Santiago Ferreyra (188-97) scored 13 points. Despite that victory Union SF went down to fourth position (Liga Argentina) due to points difference which they share with defeated Barrio Parque. Loser Barrio Parque dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. Union SF will face Independiente (#5) in Santiago del Estero in the next round. Barrio Parque will play on the road against Olimpico in Ceres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
