The game in Kopavogur was also worth to mention about. Second ranked KR (12-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Breidablik (2-14). KR did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-60. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Breidablik was better in third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Breidablik 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. American guard Danielle Rodriguez (178-93, college: Utah) fired 31 points and 4 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international Hildur Kjartansdottir (188-94, college: UTRGV) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. KR's coach Benedikt Gudmundsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Danni Williams (178, college: Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and guard Thordis Kristjansdottir (170-99) added 9 points respectively for lost side. KR maintains second position with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Valur. Breidablik lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 14 games lost. KR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik Valur.
