There was no surprise when 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (13-21) was defeated at home by first ranked Dragonflies (28-6) 99-91 on Thursday. Dragonflies outrebounded Kumamoto V. 41-30 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Marqus Blakely (201-88, college: Vermont) who recorded 25 points and 8 assists and guard Kaito Ishikawa (188-90) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Dragonflies have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-6 record. Loser Kumamoto V. keeps the fifth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
