A very interesting game took place in Pamplona. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Navarra (8-10) to fourth ranked Ponferrada CDP (10-8) 83-81 on Friday evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Navarra helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Sean McDonnell (203, college: Westmont) notched 23 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Canadian swingman Taevaunn Prince (191-91, college: Missouri So.) supported him with 14 points. Four Ponferrada CDP players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks by center Eduardo Hernandez-Sonseca (212-83) did not help to save the game for Navarra. American-British guard Kyle Williams (193-95, college: Norfolk St.) added 18 points. Newly promoted Ponferrada CDP maintains fourth position in Silver with 10-8 record. Navarra at the other side dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. Ponferrada CDP's next round opponent will be Moron (#6) in Morón de la Frontera. Navarra will play on the road against Cocinas.com in Logrono and hope to win that game.
