Top ranked Dragonflies (28-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of fifth ranked Kumamoto V. on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Kumamoto V. 75-70. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Dragonflies. The best player for the winners was American power forward Gavin Ware (206-93, college: Mississippi St.) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Marqus Blakely (201-88, college: Vermont) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) added 22 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Kumamoto V. maintains fifth place with 13-21 record. Dragonflies at the other side still keep top position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
