Regular Season Round 27: Jilin NE T. - Xinjiang FT 102-94

The game between second ranked Xinjiang FT (21-6) and eleventh ranked Jilin Tigers (17-11) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Xinjiang FT was defeated by Jilin Tigers in a tough game in Changchun 94-102. Jilin Tigers made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Jilin Tigers outrebounded Xinjiang FT 50-36 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) who had a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Guard Jiang Yuxing (196-95) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Jilin Tigers' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jarnell Stokes (201-94, college: Tennessee) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds and forward Caiyu Tang (198-97) added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Xinjiang FT players scored in double figures. Jilin Tigers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Xinjiang FT at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Jilin Tigers is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Bayi Rockets (#20) in Ningbo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Xinjiang FT will play on the road against Flying Leopards (#4) in Yingkou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
