Regular Season Round 20: Gravelines - Roanne 90-61

There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Chorale de Roanne (6-13) was outplayed on the road by sixteenth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (6-13) 90-61. Gravelines-Dunkerque shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. The winners were led by point guard Benjamin Sene (188-94) who scored that evening 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and American point guard Michael Thompson (177-89, college: Northwestern) supported him with 20 points and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Gravelines-Dunkerque players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by American forward Brice Johnson (206-94, college: UNC) did not help to save the game for Chorale de Roanne. His fellow American import guard Ian Miller (190-91, college: FSU) added 15 points and 7 assists for the guests. Chorale de Roanne's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Chorale de Roanne. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against higher ranked JDA Dijon (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chorale de Roanne will play against Chalon/Saor (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
