Fifth-ranked Timberwolves (15-26) gave a tough game to second ranked Pacers (27-15) in Indianapolis. Pacers managed to secure only two-point victory 116-114. However their fans expected easier game. Pacers dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 46 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Pacers players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Forward TJ Warren (203-93, college: NC State) notched 28 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and Jeremy Lamb (196-92, college: UConn) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Pacers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 27 points and 5 rebounds by Dominican-American power forward Karl-Anthony Towns (213-95, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Timberwolves. Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) added 22 points and 4 assists for the guests. Five Pacers and four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Pacers have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Dallas M. Timberwolves lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with 26 games lost. They share the position with Detroit P. and Sacramento K.. Pacers will have a break next day, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Timberwolves will play at home against the league's second-placed Raptors and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
