Regular Season Round 15: Gries/Oberhoffen - Nancy 78-80

A very interesting game took place in Bischwiller. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (6-9) to fourth ranked Sluc Nancy (10-5) 80-78 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for Cameroonian forward Williams Narace (201-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American Ronald Lewis (193-84, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Kevin Dinal (202-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 18 rebounds and power forward Louis Cassier (202-97) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Gries/Oberhoffen in the defeat. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sluc Nancy. They moved-up to third place. Gries/Oberhoffen at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Sluc Nancy's next round opponent will be JA Vichy (#9) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Nantes (#6) and hope to win that game.
