An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Matsuyama. First ranked Shinshu BW faced 3rd placed Orange Vikings. Guests from Nagano (26-6) defeated host Orange Vikings (17-17) 85-72. The best player for the winners was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. His fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) added 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists respectively. Shinshu BW maintains first place with 26-6 record. Orange Vikings lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
