Regular Season Round 16: Beer Sheva - H.Tel-Aviv 103-76

The game between tenth ranked Beer Sheva (6-9) and 8th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (6-10) in Beer Sheva on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Beer Sheva outscored guests from Tel-Aviv 103-76. Beer Sheva forced 19 Hapoel Tel-Aviv turnovers and outrebounded them 35-23 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. It was a quality performance for American center Steve Zack (210-92, college: La Salle) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward DaSean Butler (201-88, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) came up with 32 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and international Tomer Ginat (202-94) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Beer Sheva moved-up to eighth place. Loser Hapoel Tel-Aviv dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Nahariya. Beer Sheva will meet Ironi Nahariya (#9) on the road in the next round. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tel-Aviv to the arena Maccabi T-A.
