LEB Gold top team - Carramimbre (15-3) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat eighteenth ranked Marin (2-16) 75-69. It was a good game for center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) who led his team to a victory with 9 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Frank Bartley-IV (190-94, college: La-Lafayette) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Bartley IV is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Carramimbre's coach Hugo Lopez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) replied with 16 points and 5 assists and British-Irish forward Taiwo Badmus (203-93, college: Virginia-Wise) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Marin. Carramimbre have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-3 record. Marin lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Carramimbre are looking forward to face Real Canoe (#17) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Marin will play on the road against Caceres Basket and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
