Very expected game when 13th ranked Zamarat (3-14) lost to fifth ranked Araski (10-7) in Vitoria-Gasteiz 59-69 on Saturday. Araski looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Zamarat's players. Mozambican forward Tamara Seda (193-94, college: UTEP) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Laura Quevedo (185-96, college: Miami, FL) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Brittany McPhee (183-96, college: Stanford) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Marta Montoliu (182-94) added 13 points in the effort for Zamarat. Zamarat's coach Angel Fernandez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Araski maintains fifth place with 10-7 record. Zamarat lost their third game in a row.
