Regular Season Round 17: Polonia Bytom - MKS DG 2 94-98

Very predictable result when third ranked MKS DG 2 (12-4) won against on the road 11th ranked Polonia Bytom (4-11) 98-94 on Saturday. MKS DG 2 made 30-of-34 free shots (88.2 percent) during the game. Polonia Bytom was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (202-3) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 18 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Point guard Pawel Jurczynski (183-91) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. MKS DG 2's coach Wojciech Wieczorek used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Lukasz Lewinski (186-99) answered with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Emil Podkowinski (194-88) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Polonia Bytom. Four Polonia Bytom players scored in double figures. MKS DG 2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place in Group C with 12-4 record having just one point less than leader Dziki Wwa. Loser Polonia Bytom keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. MKS DG 2 will face Jaworzno (#5) at home in the next round. Polonia Bytom will play against AZS AWF Mick. (#4) in Katowice and hope to win that game.
