Regular Season Round 21: Nidaros Jets - Asker Aliens 72-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Asker Aliens' (4-14) road victory over bottom-ranked Nidaros Jets (3-18) in Tromdheim 73-72 on Saturday. It was a good game for American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) who saved his team from a defeat with 37 points (!!!). DR Congolese forward Djo Loo-Yele (203-82) contributed with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Jakob Baiden (194-93) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Even Skjellaug (195-95) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Nidaros Jets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Asker Aliens maintains ninth place with 4-14 record. Nidaros Jets lost their eighth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Asker Aliens will face higher ranked Baerum Basket (#3) in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nidaros Jets will play at home against the league's leader Kongsberg (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
