Regular Season Round 29: Kanazawa - Saitama B. 79-76

Bottom-ranked Kanazawa managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of twelve consecutive losses. This time they edged sixth-ranked Saitama B. in Ishikawa 79-76. Bahamas center Gjio Bain (212-85, college: S.Mississippi) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) contributed with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American-Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Saitama B.Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Kanazawa maintains twelfth place with 5-24 record. Saitama B. at the other side keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Okayama. Kanazawa will again play against higher ranked Saitama B. (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saitama B. will have a break next round.
