Regular Season Round 16: Killorglin - Templeogue 54-67

The biggest surprise of round 16 in Super League was guest Templeogue's (#5) road victory over Killorglin (#6) 67-54 on Saturday evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Killorglin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Darren Townes (201-86, college: Hofstra) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Spanish forward Xabier Arriaga (202-97, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 19 points. Templeogue's coach Mark Keenan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swedish point guard Rami Ghanem (185-93, college: Keyano) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Colin OReilly (200-84, college: Post) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 9-6 record. Killorglin at the other side dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. Templeogue are looking forward to face league's leader Tralee at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Killorglin will play against DCU Saints (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
