Bottom-ranked Marble CH (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 67-54 loss to fifth ranked 11890 Killester (8-4) in Kilkenny on Saturday evening. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Christa Reed (180, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Adella Randle-El (173, college: Sacramento St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) who added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Randle-El is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. 11890 Killester's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Cassidy Williams (173-97, college: Samford) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Katie Fox (165, college: St.Francis, NY) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. 11890 Killester have a solid four-game winning streak. 11890 Killester moved-up to fourth place, which they share with WIT Wildcats. Loser Marble CH still closes the standings with 12 games lost. 11890 Killester will meet at home WIT Wildcats (#4) in the next round. Marble CH will play against Maree (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
