Regular Season Round 15: Pagrati - Agriniou 69-71

Important game to mention about took place in Athens. Eleventh ranked Agriniou (6-9) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 14th ranked Pagrati (3-10) 71-69 on Saturday evening. Pagrati was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Alexandros Stamatogiannis (204-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. French guard Kevin Franceschi (191-93, college: OKBU) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Christian Retzo with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-95, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Agriniou moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Koroivos. Pagrati at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifteenth position with ten games lost. Agriniou will face higher ranked Psychiko (#6) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pagrati will play at home against Karditsas (#5) and hope to win that game.
