Regular Season Round 18: Miasto Szkla - WKK Wroclaw 67-70

The most exciting game of round 18 in the 1Liga took place in Krosno. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Miasto Szkla (8-7) to second ranked WKK Wroclaw (12-4) 70-67 on Saturday evening. It was a good game for the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jakub Patoka (200-94) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Pawel Spica (190-93) replied with 19 points and guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) added 6 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Miasto Szkla. WKK Wroclaw have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record behind leader Gornik Walbrzych. Miasto Szkla at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. WKK Wroclaw are looking forward to face AZS PO (#12) in Opole in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miasto Szkla will play on the road against Sokol Lancut (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
