Regular Season Round 29: Iwate Big Bulls - Gifu Swoops 75-58

Leader Iwate Big Bulls delivered the twenty fourth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Gifu Swoops (6-22) 75-58. Point guard Kohei Kawashima (170-98) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Kodai Takahashi (180-91) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Iwate Big Bulls' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Kentaro Yoshida (173-95) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward AJ John (202-96, college: UC Davis) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Iwate Big Bulls. They maintain first place with 24-5 record. Loser Gifu Swoops keep the eleventh position with 22 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will again meet at home Gifu Swoops (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gifu Swoops will have a break next round.
