Regular Season Round 11: Sykki - OBA 58-100

U19 League top team - OBA (9-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Sykki (3-7) in Helsinki 100-58. The game without a history. OBA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Sykki's 28. OBA forced 27 Sykki turnovers and outrebounded them 61-34 including a 27-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Sykki helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Federiko Federiko (205-1) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 22 rebounds. Guard Miro Little (192-4) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Cristian Ahokas (202-1) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Kalle Koponen (190-2) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sykki. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. OBA have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Sykki at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. OBA are looking forward to face Kataja (#4) in Joensuu in the next round. Sykki's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Helsinki to the arena MuKi.
