Regular Season Round 24: Nova Ves - Lucenec 76-72

The most important game in the last round took place in Nova Ves between second ranked Lucenec (13-9) and eighth ranked Nova Ves (5-16) on Saturday night. Lucenec was defeated by Nova Ves in a tough game on the road 72-76. It was a good game for American guard Eric Nottage (187-94, college: FIU, agency: YoungGroup Unlimited) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Canadian guard Justus Alleyn (188-95, college: Manitoba) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Nottage is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American point guard Mike Caffey (183-93, college: LBSU) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Ukrainian center Konstantin Anikenko (218-92) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Lucenec. Lucenec's coach Peter Jankovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nova Ves maintains eighth position with 5-16 record. Lucenec at the other side dropped to the third place with nine games lost. Nova Ves are looking forward to face higher ranked Prievidza (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lucenec will have a break next round.
