There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Klodzko (7-10) won against at home 8th ranked Polonia Leszno (6-10) 97-93 on Saturday. Guard Jan Malesa (187-99) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Maksymilian Zagorski (198-99) supported him with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Klodzko's coach Jerzy Chudeusz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by Hubert Pabian (201-89, agency: Promotex) did not help to save the game for Polonia Leszno. Center Szymon Milczynski (204-93) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Polonia Leszno players scored in double figures. Klodzko moved-up to eighth place. Loser Polonia Leszno dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Pruszkow and Pogon Prudnik. Klodzko will meet league's leader Gornik in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Polonia Leszno will play against Biofarm PZN (#13) and hope to secure a win.
