No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Honka (5-5) crushed on the road 9th ranked Salon V. (2-8) 106-85 on Saturday. The game without a history. Honka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Salon V.'s 22. They outrebounded Salon V. 41-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Guard Sebastian Lindberg (193-2) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Lauri Kallio (188-3) contributed with 24 points and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Patrik Poutiainen (196-1) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Leevi-Matias Taimela (192-2) added 21 points in the effort for Salon V.Salon V.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Honka maintains sixth place with 5-5 record. Salon V. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with eight games lost. Honka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Espoo Westside.
