Regular Season Round 24: Prievidza - Zilina 68-72
Date: January 18, 2020
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Prievidza (12-9) lost at home to fifth ranked Zilina (11-10) 72-68. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Tony Woods (211-90, college: Oregon) who helped to win the game recording 7 points and 12 rebounds and the former international point guard Oliver Tot (200-94, college: William & Mary) who added 11 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Delvon Johnson (206-89, college: Arkansas) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and Serbian forward Nikola Gacesa (206-87, college: TCU) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Prievidza players scored in double figures. Zilina maintains fifth position with 11-10 record. Prievidza at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. Zilina will play against league's leader Inter Bratislava at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Prievidza will play against Nova Ves and hopes to get back on the winning track.
