The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Etoile Angers (15-4) on the court of fourteenth ranked Vanves on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Vanves 105-87. They shot 62.1 percent from the field. Vanves shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists and forward Raphael Wilson (195-89) who added 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 assists and forward Franck Seguela (198-97) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Vanves maintains fourteenth position in Group A with 5-14 record. Etoile Angers at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Vanves are looking forward to face higher ranked Toulouse (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Etoile Angers will play against Lourdes-Tarbes (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
