Everything went according to plan when third ranked Universitario de Ferrol (10-4) outscored at home 11th ranked Barakaldo (4-10) 68-43 on Saturday. Universitario de Ferrol had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Macy Miller (183, college: S.Dakota St.) scored 15 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import center Jenna Allen (190-97, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Patricia Soler (186-94) responded with 8 points and 7 rebounds and guard Araia Pena (172-90) scored 9 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Universitario de Ferrol maintains third position in Group A with 10-4 record having just three points less than leader Estudiantes, which they share with Real Canoe and Alcobendas. Barakaldo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Universitario de Ferrol will face league's second-placed GDKO Bizkaia in Galdakao in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Barakaldo will play at home against Real Canoe (#3) and hope to win that game.
